Welcome to my blog ! ! !
Hi everyone, as requested by Rachel @ Noise, here is a short list of vital info about me:
My name is Alex Haines, I'm currently living in the East of England, and I attented Huddersfield University where I studied 3D Design and graduated with a First.
Career-wise, I still haven't figured out precisely what I would like to do, but I know it has to be something I enjoy; I'm good at; that fulfills me and allows me both freedom and responsibility; and that pays enough for me to carry on enjoying the exalted celebrity lifestyle I have become accustomed to *cough cough*.
After putting my ambitions to be a globe-travelling poker pro on indefinite hold and deciding ultimately that the daily and nightly grind of working the southwest gang unit in LA County probably isn't as much fun as it looks in The Shield, I have settled on a potential career in something creative art and design-y, and currently would be more than happy to work anywhere that feels I could add something valuable, or even turn one of my big ideas into a reality and start up a business myself or with a friend.
I truly believe my two weeks at Hemingway Design will benefit me immensely for a number of reasons, not least that just by being involved with an established, talented and successful firm such as theirs, some of it is bound to rub off on me and make me a more rounded artist and designer. If they feel I have something to offer in return then even better!
Hopefully by the end of the two weeks I will have made some new friends, have absorbed some creative and professional inspiration, and have added impetus to get out there and kickstart my career!
Many thanks to the team at Noise and Hemingway Design for making this happen, I look forward to meeting you all!
Alex
